How to Play 3 Card Poker

The goal of the game: The objective of blackjack is to have a hand that is closer to 21 than the dealer’s hand, without going over 21 (known as busting).

The value of cards: In blackjack, cards 2-10 are worth their face value, while face cards (Jack, Queen, and King) are worth 10. An Ace can be worth either 1 or 11, depending on which value is more advantageous for your hand. In addition to the card values mentioned above, it’s important to note that when a player is dealt a Blackjack, which is a ten or any face card (Jack, Queen, King) along with an Ace as the first two cards, it pays out at 3 to 2, unless the dealer also has a Blackjack.

1. The game is played with a standard deck of 52 cards.
2. Each player places an ante bet to start the game. The dealer will then deal three cards face down to each player and themselves.
3. Players may look at their own cards, but they should keep them hidden from other players.
4. After looking at their cards, players can choose to either fold or place a Play bet. If a player chooses to fold, they lose their ante bet. If a player chooses to place a Play bet, the bet must be equal to the ante bet.
5. Once all players have either folded or placed a Play bet, the dealer will reveal their cards.
6. To qualify, the dealer must have at least a queen-high hand. If the dealer does not qualify, players who placed a Play bet will receive even money on their ante bet and the Play bet will be returned to them.
7. If the dealer does qualify, the dealer’s hand will be compared to each player’s hand. If a player’s hand beats the dealer’s hand, they will receive even money on both their ante and Play bets. If a player’s hand is weaker than the dealer’s hand, they will lose both their ante and Play bets.
8. If the dealer’s hand and a player’s hand are tied, the ante and Play bets will be returned to the player.
9. In addition to the ante and Play bets, there is also an optional Pair Plus bet. This bet is based solely on the player’s hand, and not the dealers. If a player’s hand contains a pair or better, they will receive a pay out on their Pair Plus bet.
