We’ve had some exciting growth internally, and we would like to share the news of our recent promotion of Bogdan Onica who has taken on the responsibility of becoming an Area Manager. Bogdan joined the company back in July 2015, making this his sixth year. Since joining, he has passed through many career development stages, starting out as a team member to becoming an area manager, which is where he is at today!
Speaking about his background, Bogdan mentioned that he was recruited through an exciting scheme at the time, known as the ‘Romanian Project’. “I was one of the two candidates recruited by Steve Ambrose the Operations Director and Rick Espey, another Area Manager. I found that my exposure to the adult gaming industry from when I started out at 18, really helped me gain the knowledge and experience to secure the opportunity. Six years and nine months has gone by since, and it still only seems like it was yesterday!”
Reflecting on his time at MERKUR Casino UK, Bogdan also noted that: “Every day is a new challenge, and this is what motivates me, as the results become more and more rewarding. I spend a lot of my day, engaging in regular meetings and interacting with our customers and staff – all of which are very exciting. When Bogdan isn’t busy managing venues, he also enjoys collecting mugs from all around the world and cooking delicious home cooked meals!
