Name it to claim it: Milton Keynes locals invited to choose name for new Casino MK sports bar

What’s in a name? For Casino MK’s brand new sports bar, the answer could be down to the people of Milton Keynes.

MERKUR Casino UK, one of the nation’s leading high street bingo and adult gaming centre operators, is inviting the people of Milton Keynes to help name a brand-new sports bar set to open inside the recently acquired Casino MK.

Earlier this year, MERKUR Casino UK completed the acquisition of Casino MK, following the previous operator entering administration. The landmark venue, located inside the Xscape complex at Marlborough Gate, is now being revitalised thanks to fresh investment – including the introduction of an exciting new sports bar.

The new space will offer food and drink and feature multiple large screens showing all major live sports, creating a lively social hub for fans to gather and enjoy the action together. To mark the launch, MERKUR is calling on local residents to take part in a naming competition, giving them the chance to play a role in shaping the future of the venue.

The winning entry will not only see their idea brought to life but will also earn a VIP invitation to the grand opening of the casino.

Mark Schertle, chief operating officer at MERKUR Casino UK, said: “We’re proud to be investing in Milton Keynes and enhancing the entertainment offering at the Casino MK. The new sports bar will provide a modern and welcoming space where fans can come together to enjoy the biggest sporting moments and soak up the atmosphere. By asking the local community to name the bar, we want them to feel part of the journey from the very beginning.”

Already operating successful venues across the UK, including its popular casino in Aberdeen. MERKUR Casino UK is committed to creating safe, welcoming and modern spaces for adults to relax, socialise and enjoy quality entertainment. The company’s investment in Casino MK will also create new jobs and deliver a refreshed entertainment experience for the city.

How to enter:

Suggestions can be submitted via the MERKUR Casino Facebook page by searching ‘@MERKUR Casino MK’. Entrants should include their suggested name on the pinned Facebook post.

All entrants must be 18 years of age or over to take part. Entries close on Monday 20th October and then the chosen name will be announced in the lead up to the opening night.
