Gill wins big at Cashino – Local bingo player turns £1 into £570
Cashino Birmingham Bull Street regular, Gill Ralph had lady luck on her side when she managed to scoop the biggest prize the venue has ever seen.
Gill, 57, from Edgebaston, was taking part in the bingo plus game at the venue when she struck lucky – winning £570, having spent just £1 to take part.
When asked about her win, Gill said; “It was fantastic to win the game, especially this close to Christmas! I think I’m going to use the money spoiling my grandchildren!”
“The other players came to congratulate me after my win – it’s like one big family here at Cashino. I actually won using my lucky board, which also used to be my mum’s lucky board. I’ve been coming to Cashino for over 20 years now, so to win such a big prize is wonderful.”
Bingo Plus is a linked game of bingo played Monday to Sunday, which has been running since 2012. The game is always on, which allows the calling club to dictate when the game starts. By linking with other venues, the players always have the chance of winning the highest prizes. It is played in about 60 gaming centres. Following the Bingo Plus success, Cashino has launched a new game, £5K Live, where £5,000 can be won every day at noon.
Ian Grinnell, venue manager at Cashino Birmingham Bull Street said: “We were all incredibly happy for Gill! It’s always great to see winners in our club, but to have our biggest win yet is very special for us. It was a great moment.”
