MERKUR Casino Aberdeen is proud to announce the successful completion of its first intake of trainees from its newly launched intensive; six-week croupier training programme. The innovative course aims to equip aspiring croupiers with the skills and knowledge required to excel in the fast-paced world of casino gaming.
Four enthusiastic trainees; Ayodele Ladi-James, Daniel Murray, Megija Jerjomina, and Ryan Dale, were immersed in a 40 hour per week comprehensive curriculum that combined theoretical knowledge with practical hands-on experience. Under the guidance of experienced mentors, the trainees focused on two of the most popular and engaging casino games ‘American Roulette’ and ‘Three Card Poker’, and mastered the intricate skills in game management, customer interaction, and precise handling of gaming equipment whilst keeping up to speed with things such as responsible gambling and anti-money laundering.

The training programme included modules on game rules, betting procedures and the art of creating an engaging atmosphere for players. Special emphasis was placed on developing the soft skills essential for a successful career in the gaming industry such as communication, attention to detail, and customer service.
Speaking about the training programme, trainee Ayodele Ladi-James, said: “The training course was a challenging yet rewarding experience. Learning from industry experts and practicing in a real casino environment has equipped me with the confidence and skills needed to start my career as a croupier. I’m excited to bring my passion for gaming to the tables at MERKUR Casino.”
